Artist Statement:

The artwork depicts me as a dejected young football player nursing an ailing knee. My scholastic sports career left me with chronic pain and stiffness in the knees from osteoarthritis. Participating in sports was a way for me to attract the opposite sex. However, sports related injuries can rob you of your ability to perform - stealing your pride and glory.
