"Screaming Turtle"

Artist Statement:

After being given the antibiotic Floxin for 10 days in 1997 I had a severe adverse reaction. Two achilles tendons ruptured and I have chronic tendinosis and neuropathy in both legs, ankles/feet. Two months after it began, I carved an alabaster turtle which took a year to complete. It is screaming to God: "Why did this happen to me... when will I heal?"
