"And Yet I Refuse To Answer"

Artist Statement:

The center of the painting depicts six figures, all having my face. Each one expresses the various aspect of pain: agony, rage, self-pity, depression, etc. The background reveals how complex the world is that a chronic pain sufferer must endure and survive it. When my mom asked me about the treadmill in the upper left, I told her that is how I make it through the days. Due to my migraine disorder I have been denied a normal life. I share the plight of millions of chronic pain sufferers.
